Peer Review Process

The Journal of Information Technology and Vocational Education (JITVE) applies a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of all published articles. Both reviewers and authors remain anonymous throughout the review process.

Review Workflow

  1. Initial Editorial Screening
All submitted manuscripts are first screened by the Editor-in-Chief or Section Editors to ensure they meet the journal’s focus, scope, and formatting guidelines. Manuscripts failing to meet the requirements may be rejected at this stage.
  2. Reviewer Assignment
Manuscripts passing the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise in the subject area.
  3. Double-Blind Peer Review
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, ethical standards, and contribution to the field. Both author and reviewer identities are kept confidential.
  4. Reviewer Recommendations
Each reviewer provides one of the following recommendations:
    • Accept as is
    • Accept with minor revisions
    • Resubmit after major revisions
    • Reject
  5. Editorial Decision
The Editor-in-Chief, based on reviewer reports, makes the final decision (accept, minor/major revision, or reject). Authors will be notified via the online submission system.
  6. Revision Process
If revisions are required, authors must address reviewer comments and resubmit the revised manuscript. The revised version may be re-evaluated by the same reviewers.
  7. Final Acceptance
Once accepted, the manuscript proceeds to copyediting, layout editing, and final publication.

Review Timeline

The peer review process usually takes 4 to 8 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and the quality of the submission. Authors are encouraged to check their submission status via the online system.

Reviewer Ethics

  • Reviewers must maintain confidentiality of the manuscript content.
  • Reviewers must declare any potential conflicts of interest.
  • Reviews should be constructive, objective, and focused on academic quality.

JITVE is committed to upholding the highest standards of peer review integrity in accordance with international publishing ethics.
